New Zealand Guidelines for the Management and Removal of Asbestos 3rd Edition
FOREWORD
This document contains a set of industry-based guidelines produced by the New Zealand Demolition and Asbestos Association (NZDAA) (formerly the New Zealand Demolition Contractors Association).
It outlines the industry's current best practice standards and procedures for the safe and efficient removal, transportation and disposal of asbestos-contaminated material.
The guidelines have been developed from information provided by NZDAA member practitioners and include relevant information from the Australian Code of Practice For The Safe Removal Of Asbestos NOSHC:2002 (2005). The guidelines also contain extensive references to Australian and New Zealand standards and to appropriate New Zealand legislation.
NZDAA also acknowledges the assistance provided by the Department of Labour in the development of these guidelines.
