Forest Operations - Part 3 Logging - Safety Code for
This code sets out sound work practices for all those involved in the logging industry and is intended for both workers and employers. It describes recognised methods of felling trees, preparing them for extraction and and then removing logs to skids for further transport. Particular emphasis is placed on the safe use of chainsaws.
(This code has been superseded by the Best Practice Guideline for Ground Based Logging and other guidelines published by FITEC.
